WhatsApp Payment Overview

The WhatsApp Payments module in Pabbly Chatflow enables businesses to create, manage, and track payment orders directly through WhatsApp using Meta-supported payment gateways. This module unifies payment configuration, order creation, automation, tracking, and customer notifications within a single streamlined interface.

The WhatsApp Payments section is divided into four core tabs, each representing a key stage in the complete payment lifecycle:

1. Payment Configuration
2. Order Messages
3. Payment Notifications
4. Order Histories

1. Payment Configuration

The Payment Configuration tab is the foundation of the entire WhatsApp payment system. All order creation and payment processing depend on the configurations created here.

This section allows you to:

• Connect your Meta WhatsApp Business Account with a supported payment gateway
• Sync and select Payment Configuration IDs created in Meta
• Define Order Prefix, Invoice Prefix, and numbering formats
• Enter your business details to appear on order receipts and invoices
• Create and manage multiple payment configurations for different use cases
• This is the mandatory first step before creating any order message or sending payments.

2. Order Messages

The Order Messages tab is used to design and configure the message templates that deliver order details and payment links to customers.

From this section, you can:

• Create order message templates for:
  • Custom Product
  • Catalog Product
  • WhatsApp Cart
• Define Order Format and Footer Text
• Set the payment expiration time
• Add:
  • Product details
  • Pricing
  • Tax
  • Shipping charges
  • Discounts
• Preview how the order message appears inside WhatsApp

These order messages serve as the backbone of both automated and manual WhatsApp payment flows.

3. Payment Notifications

The Payment Notifications tab automates the messages sent to customers after a payment event occurs.

From this section, you can:

• Configure the Success Notification Message (sent after successful payment)
• Configure the Failed / Expired Notification Message
• Use dynamic fields to personalize messages
• Enable or disable notifications based on business requirements

Once configured, Pabbly Chatflow automatically sends these messages in real time after each payment event.

4. Order Histories

The Order Histories section acts as the centralized dashboard for monitoring and managing all WhatsApp payment orders created through both Flows and the Inbox.

This section allows you to:

• View all orders generated from Flows and Inbox
• Track real-time order statuses, including:
  • Pending
  • Failed
  • Expired
  • Paid
• Access receipts based on order status:
  • Order Receipt for Pending, Failed, and Expired orders
  • Invoice Receipt for Paid orders
• Review complete order details such as:
  • Customer information
  • Product and pricing details
  • Tax and fee breakdown

  • Transaction timestamps

Trigger Events & WhatsApp Pay Message

The Trigger Events and the WhatsApp Pay Message together form the core automation framework of WhatsApp Payments in Pabbly Chatflow. They enable a fully automated journey from order placement to payment confirmation.

1. Order Received Trigger Event

The Order Received trigger is activated when a customer places an order through WhatsApp using the WhatsApp Cart.

This trigger allows you to:

• Instantly capture customer orders in real time
• Automatically initiate the payment process
• Send the WhatsApp Pay Message without manual action
• Create a seamless transition from order placement to payment

2. Payment Capture Trigger Event

The Payment Capture trigger is activated immediately after a customer completes a payment successfully.

Using this trigger, you can:

3. WhatsApp Pay Message
