Template Creation Using AI

The AI Template Generation feature allows you to quickly create WhatsApp templates using AI by providing a simple prompt. Instead of manually filling all template fields, AI helps generate a structured template that you can review, edit if needed, and submit for approval.

This feature is especially useful when you want to save time and create templates faster with accurate formatting.

Step 1: Login to Your Chatflow Account

Log in to your Pabbly Chatflow account using your credentials.

Step 2: Navigate to Templates

From the left sidebar, click on Templates.

Step 3: Open AI Template Generation

1. Click on the Add Template button located at the top-right.
2. From the dropdown, select Generate with AI.

This will open the Generate with AI window.

Step 4: Configure AI Template Settings

In the Generate with AI window, configure the following options:

Select AI Assistant

Choose the AI assistant that will generate the WhatsApp template.

Enter Template Name

Provide a template name following Meta’s naming rules:

• Only lowercase letters
• Alphanumeric characters and underscores
• No spaces or special characters

Example:
order_confirmation

Select Template Category

Choose the appropriate template category:

• Marketing - For promotional messages and campaigns
• Utility - For transactional updates and notifications
• Authentication - Used for OTPs and verification messages as per Meta guidelines.

Select Language

Choose the language in which the template should be created.

Write Your Prompt

In the Write Your Prompt field, describe what kind of WhatsApp template you want to generate.

The prompt should clearly explain:

• The purpose of the template
• The message tone and intent
• Any buttons or actions required

Example Prompt:

Create a WhatsApp template to confirm an order, including order details and a clear call-to-action button for tracking the order.

(Optional) Use Knowledge Base

You can enable Use Knowledge Base if you want AI to use uploaded documents to personalize the template.
If disabled, AI will generate a generic template based only on your prompt.

Step 5: Generate the Template

Click on the Generate button.

AI will generate one or more template layouts based on your prompt. These templates will be displayed in a preview format.

Step 6: Use the Generated Template

1. Review the generated template(s).
2. Click on the Use button for the template you want to proceed with.

👉 Once you click Use, all template fields will be automatically prefilled, similar to manually created templates.

Step 7: Review & Edit Prefilled Fields

After selecting Use, you will be redirected to the template creation screen where:

• All fields are already prefilled by AI
• You can review, edit, or customize any field if required

If no changes are needed, you can directly proceed.

Step 8: Submit the Template

Click on the Submit button to send the template for Meta approval.

Template Approval Process

Once submitted, templates are reviewed by Meta and may have one of the following statuses:

• Approved – Ready to use
• Pending – Under Meta review
• Draft – Saved but not submitted
• Rejected – Did not meet Meta guidelines
